Well, this past weekend was a fun one in Jackson. Chandler did what else, but cook crawfish for his Dad's church, Immanuel Presbyterian (our new church- as of this weekend) The crawfish boil was on a sand bar in Port Gibson. We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather!! There was not a cloud in the sky and the temperature was pleasantly warm with a nice cool breeze. It was an absolute perfect location for such an event. It is possible that there are even more children in Immanuel than in Auburn Avenue (hard to believe, I know!!), so the boys were definitely in good company! The children had a blast and were totally adorable playing in the water and the sand! No pictures yet...I know, sorry to all Walker and Will's fans....but I'm sure I'll post some later when I have a spare moment to catch my breath!
So, Charlotte (Chandler's mom) offered to keep the boys for the week while I headed back to Monroe SOLO to finish up the rest of the packing without the added distraction of two attention-needing little boys! I was hesitant to take her up on her offer, but I couldn't resist it in the end! I cannot even put into words how much I miss those little guys, but honestly, I don't know how I would've done it with them here! I have sat down literally only a couple of times each day since Monday! As of now, the inside of the house is 98 percent packed up in boxes and taped! All that is left on the inside is "wrapping" the furniture some how to protect it through the move. I'm not too worried about that, however, because we don't have that many pieces of furniture that are worth preserving anyway! So, the biggest THANK - YOU to the best mother-in- law a girl could have....who made the last of this packing prosses even possible! I have to say, though, that this is the most overwhelmed that I've ever been. My advice......Never move.....Stay where you are FOREVER! I repeat, NEVER MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally feel for what you're going threw. Josh and I moving basically 3 times since we've been married isn't fun in the least. By the time the last few boxes are packed you just start throwing things into a misc. box because you can't think of anywhere else to put it! I hope everything goes smoothly for you guys this weekend. Wish we could be there to help ya pack it all into the truck.
Thanks, Lacey! I know what you mean about those "misc." boxes towards the end! I have quite a few of those by now!
Yeah, we've moved 5 times in our married life. It's pretty awful. At least you are able to do the last bit without the boys...though I'm sure you miss them a lot! So when is the actual departure date for y'all?
Well, we loaded up the Uhaul jammed pack full yesterday, and we are leaving this morning! But we will back over the next 4 weekends b/c Chandler has to finish painting the outside of the house!
