Mother's Day Tribute

I always have considered Mother's day a special day~ I mean, I do have an wonderful, Godly mother who puts the Lord first and her family second. She has given me an amazing example of how to raise my own children. But it wasn't until almost 3 years ago that I really learned what Mother's day meant to me as a first time mom. I began to regard this day not as a day to honor myself for anything I have done, but instead to honor the little ones who made me a mom. Because after refilling the millionth sippy cup, answering countless"but why momma?" questions, and listening to ceaseless crying over a dead lizard that he suffocated in a cooler, I sometimes tend to loose focus on the blessing of my job and my calling!
So, on this Mother's Day I want to honor my two priceless little boys. Each with his unique, amazing little personality, abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. I need this day to remember how unbelievably amazing they really are! They have brought more to my life than words can express. Each time I watch them sleep, hold them in my arms, or gaze into their beautiful faces, I am filled with the love of the Lord who has so graciously brought them into my life. I feel so blessed, like the luckiest woman in the world to have the two of you as my own. I love you both more than you know, and I am truly honored to be able to call you my sons.I mean, look at those faces... now tell me you don't want some of that?

Just wait till your boys are parents; then you will feel so "doublely" blessed to have been a mother...to see your children continue to walk in the values they were taught. GiGi
