The Pumpkin Patch (aka....hell on a hayride)

So, we finally made it to the Pumpkin Patch on Wednesday after being rained out last Tuesday. Walker woke up Wednesday morning with the biggest, cutest smile on his face, but didn't say one word. I asked him what he was smiling about and he simply said, "Pukin' patch!" So needless to say, he was pumped to go. Naturally, we would end up going on the last day of the year that it would be like 80 degrees outside, not one cloud in the sky, with the blazing heat scorching our bodies!! It was one of those times when, as a parent, you just suffer through it because you know your children are having fun.

Jessica has a commentary on the "hell on a hayride" (as I affectionately refer to the day) on her blog that is HILARIOUS and perfectly describes what it was like. Pottery Barn Kids version vs. the reality. I couldn't have said it better if I tried.

However, I had anticipated the pictures from this event for weeks, and couldn't let them suffer just because I was developing skin cancer, wrinkles from perpetual squinting, and sweating buckets. So I can say that quite literally it was through blood, sweat, and tears that I acquired the cute pics. So enjoy!
