Getting closer....

After months and months of researching, I think we're finally even that much closer to a decision regarding which camera we want. Thanks to a lot of helpful information from Adam White (we really appreciate all your suggestions, Adam) we have decided on the lens we want too. (Chandler has always called Adam a "bottomless well of information" ;-) This has always been the really important thing for me because I'm aware that the lens is what really makes the picture. This lens seems perfect and fabulous and can't wait to see what it will do. We have opted to kind of create our own package to make sure we can get exactly what we want. An external flash and an extra battery pack are some must haves for me. Now I just need ideas as to how to get willing guinea pigs for subjects. Jen, how do you convince your "guinea pigs" to go along with it? Well, I guess I just need my family here in town so they can just pop over and bring their friends. Hmm....maybe I should work on that.....you hear that sisters?? ;-)

Speaking of exciting.... we got our Christmas tree last night! Yay! It was a perfect time to do it, a beautiful, crisp night. We kind of made an event of it. We all went and picked it out together and then afterwards went for ice cream (I appreciate the irony) and hot chocolate. Could this become one of my much wanted traditions for our little family? I think so. The boys really enjoyed it; you could just see and feel their excitement, and that's what it's all about. Now it's just standing there~ all tall and fabulous in our den, but it is naked. We decided to wait to decorate it so the branches will have time to "settle" (I'm usually impatient to wait on this before decorating and don't think it ultimately looks as good when you don't let them fall naturally) and also to spread out the decorating a bit. Now ya know I took some pics.
Back at the house, Walker pretended to go running like mommma :-)

Okay, I'll just leave you with a little piece of advice:

**Reason number one hundred and four not to give a one and a half year old mustard......

If this isn't the look of guilt, then I don't know what is!!

The first picture of Will with the mustard in his hair looks so much like Laney. Never thought that before. Loved your montage. I would love to see all the pictures of the shower for Joey. Love you! GiGi
